Judith Berner
Judith Berner works at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Her research interests include stochastic parameterization, subgrid-scale processes, and ensembles, which makes her expertise extremely valuable for W2W, and in particular for Research Area A.
She visited the meteorological institute at the LMU in Munich for one week in September 2022.
Discussions included ongoing and future collaborations, in particular regarding the Grand Ensemble initiative led by the project B3. Ihan Chen, who was a PhD student in project A6 and now works with Judith Berner at NCAR also joined the discussions in Munich.
